Laylat al-Qadr
Eid al-Fitr is a significant Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan. It begins with a special prayer service called Salat al-Eid and is a time of joy, family gatherings, and feasting. Muslims wear new clothes, give charity (Zakat al-Fitr), and children receive gifts. Eid al-Fitr emphasizes gratitude, forgiveness, and community bonding.
"Laylat al-Qadr" (لَیلَةُ القَدر) or "Night of Decree" is a highly significant night in the Islamic faith, occurring during the last ten nights of Ramadan, particularly on the odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th night). It is believed to be the night when the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah through the Angel Gabriel. Laylat al-Qadr is considered a night of immense blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. Muslims engage in intense worship, including prayers, reading Quran, making supplications (dua), and seeking forgiveness during this night, hoping to gain the maximum spiritual benefits and blessings. The exact date of Laylat al-Qadr is not known, but it is commonly observed on the 27th night of Ramadan based on traditions.
